What is Love (Part IX)

Love is also knowing what not love is…
Love has always been one of the greatest mysteries in the world. It is an unfathomable abyss of emotions that would always be undefined by the greatest books and greatest philosophers that ever walked the earth. Love remains a gift that only people who knows how to love could feel its real beauty and its true mystery. True love is best defined in 1 Corinthians 13, and I quote, "Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud or rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in truth but not in evil. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful and trusting. Love never fails."
WHAT LOVE IS NOT
Love is different from like. Love can never be an infatuation or a physical attraction. Love does not rest on what the naked eyes can see.
Love never happens by fate. It does not come on unexpected moments and it is never planned.
“Love is never a chance” (Guttierez, 1995, p.45).
Love won't find you if you isolate yourself in the mountains of the Himalayas. Love won't find you if you remain as a virgin island that had never been discovered by the greatest sailors of human history. Love is not being alone and lonely and being contented of living life without considering of sharing it with others.
WHAT LOVE IS
Love is a feeling treated with kindness. It is a gift that we give and is freely given to us. Love is not how much we are loved but how much we loved.
Love is going beyond physical attraction. Love is appreciating what is beyond the physical characteristics of the person. It penetrates deep into his heart, mind, soul and personality.
Love is staying because an unexplainable feeling sprouts in your heart that neither pain nor walls could put the two of you apart. It is the feeling of contentment and satisfaction of every bit that life brings you.
Love knows the right time. It has its own reason for coming and going. It never rushes things just to satisfy the selfish needs of the moment. It considers what would benefit the future.
Love would always remain to be a form of freedom. It is getting away with the clasps of loneliness, sorrows and pain. It soars you up above the horizon that no laws made by man could ever stop you from loving.

What is Love (Part VIII)

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away…
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
(King James Bible, 2003, p. 67)
Finding love in these modern times is not easy. Everyone wants and expects so much of each other. We’re all so busy rushing around, juggling work, family commitments and social lives, trying to keep up with everyone else, wanting what everyone else has. We’re so absorbed in the material and in our striving/struggling to obtain/achieve, that we’ve forgotten that the material world is in fact immaterial to our ultimate deep-down happiness.
We have forgotten that the most important and fundamental part of us needs and wants to love and be loved in return.
The Internet has changed not just the way we work but the way we love. Meeting new people, dating, falling in and out of love has all become part of the modern way of living and loving. Finding love online is the modern way to find that special someone for most of us in our hectic lives, and we can find true love on the Internet. It is important to be careful at first, reveal yourself slowly but honestly, until you are comfortable to meet and start dating.
Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.

What is Love? (Part VII)

Love is living our life for other people…
Love is living our life for other people. It's the sacrificial giving of all that is precious and dear to each of us, and placing it in someone else's hands. Love takes this risk as the means of showing the sincerity of our hearts
and the pleasure that we experience in the sharing.
For example, parents lovingly work hard throughout their lives, so that their children may have better opportunities to find and fulfill their dreams. They save their possessions and use their resources to give their children the best start for their education, careers, and marriages.
Friends also lovingly support their loved ones during
times of trouble and trial, distress and despair, without counting the cost or begrudging the sacrifice of time. They display their love with their presence, care, and sympathy, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on without complaint.
Dedicated partners live for their sweethearts, seeking to please them with gifts and goodness, laughter and love, fun and faith. The blessing of their love carries them through good and bad times. No matter what true loving partner’s experience, when all is said and done, their love never fails.
Love is shaping life into one cherished opportunity of sharing your best with those you love the most. It's the perfect realization that all of us need to be loved, and so we sincerely seek someone special, offering them our heart, our devotion and care. It's the moment when we recognize that we are incomplete without someone to love, and it gives us both meaning and purpose to our lives.
Love is venturing outside of ourselves and into the world to seek our heart's desire, to accomplish our personal goals, and to successfully use our talents to build up resources, esteem, and prosperity, so that we can lovingly share them with the person who has claimed our heart.
Love is embracing one another during moments of fear and anxiety, offering words of encouragement, endearing charm, and genuine concern. As the good book says, love never fails. It is our source of a remarkable strength that we use to overcome our problems.

What is Love (Part VI)

Love Is Not Enough…
Few Individuals can resist the warm glow of a loving relationship. Love is not confined to romance it touches nearly everyone in some respect
during their lives. We love different people in varying ways and to differing degrees. Everything from mild affection to red-hot passion is categorized as love and therein lays the first of many problems that can arise when trying to grow, maintain or simply rescue faltering relationships.
Relationships can exert an enormously positive influence over your well-being but the reverse is true when they take a turn for the worse. Love is indeed a wonderful product, and love allied with pragmatic procedures represents a pretty unbeatable combination.
There are no two ways about it - Relationships can be a little complicated, so why do people even need them?
Principally it’s because (most) normal individuals enjoy the company of others. It is not by accident that solitary confinement was designed as a form of punishment. However, good relationships are not the net result of random elements haphazardly thrown
together. They require investment, care, attention and above all patience.
Needy people (almost by default) do all of those previously outlined things less consistently than individuals who are well resourced in that regard. If someone wants to develop a relationship with you - that’s cool. If you need to develop one with them - that’s not so cool. Need places unnatural pressure on everything you touch. For example, wanting more money is a reasonable and manageable desire, needing more cash just to make ends meet generates an altogether higher level of stress for those who are unable to have their
urgent requirements met. The key to all of this is recognizing that relationships are a partnership, and that what you bring to the relationship will have a huge bearing on what can eventually be drawn from it by either participant.
Be comfortable in you own skin. If it is indeed true that ‘birds of a feather flock together’ then your only realistic hope of establishing strong bonds with like-minded people is to have some strength of your own to bring to the table. Interdependence
is the most preferable balance in any relationship. Individuals, who work together because they choose to; almost always develop more fulfilling associations than those who have no choice but to cooperate due to their prevailing conditions.
So where does love fit into all of this?
Love is an awesome product, and is quite the most delightful emotion that two people can share, but it was not designed to exist outside of intelligent reason. Here are seven words that nobody ever wants to hear: ‘tell me that you love me too!’ Those words are nearly always uttered by someone seeking to balance their emotional accounts. My simple advice is to check the ground carefully before planting, watering and expecting returns on your ‘love seeds’. Use your mind to determine where and when your love quota could be best served.
Love to the limit of your heart’s desire, but always remember to think clearly about what you are doing and why you are doing it. Love is truly incredible, enriching and much sought-after, but sometimes, it is simply not enough.

A Poem for a Teacher

“On Becoming a Teacher; My Vocation, My Mission”

To become a teacher is not my dream before.
It is just like a fantasy that I always ignore.
But as days pass by, it is God’s will that reigned
And here I am taking up a course which I could not feign.

I thought that I will not get interested with this study
Paper works, reports, making syllabus really make me crazy.
But by such God’s intervention I started to love this profession
And later on I see myself enjoying such gift of vocation.

Yes, I now consider it as a calling from the Divine Teacher.
It is just like I am being called as a soldier.
A soldier who is bound to a sacred and important mission
And that is for the welfare of those who are in need of education.

From being a profession, to a vocation, and now a mission.
I believe that I am being called to a genuine operation.
To teach not only by books but also by my mere experience
In which evidently I can inculcate values and excellence.

To teach not only scholastic lessons but also lessons about life,
To be a teacher who teaches and to be a friend in times of strife,
To be a simple yet dynamic person for everybody
Those are my mission that I kept on thinking everyday.

On becoming a teacher is not only my dream.
It is my vocation and mission at my outmost extreme.
On becoming a teacher is not only my goal
But it is an indelible part of my soul.

WHAT IS LOVE (Part V)

Love is simply letting God to reign in your life...
Description: F:\CHAPTERS II\Images for the book\5d4ce7fd0a2ae200.jpgLove is a combination of feelings and experiences connected to an awareness of likeness. The word love can pertain to an array of distinct moods, states, and viewpoints, spanning from basic gratification to immense relational attraction. The range of meanings, mixed with the complexity of the emotions involved, makes love abnormally hard to describe, in comparison to other emotion states. I believe love is a supernatural force that connects different types of people together. It inspires, evokes, transforms, motivates, and brings out the best and worst in all people. It can be a blessing and a curse. It sees beyond a person's quirks and sees the best in them. It goes beyond hatred and discord. It defies logic because it is an elusive energy. It connects a mother to a child. It is the invisible glue between families across the world. It keeps a loyal husband coming back to his wife of thirty years. It brings together good friends.
The greatest relationship we can have is with the unseen force which it was created by. He is God. Love forever binds us to Him. We cannot escape from it. Gravity can't keep us away.
1 Corinthians 13
God’s Word says as follows; 1- If I speak in the tongues of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal. 2- If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3- If I give all I posses to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5- It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. 6- Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7-It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. 8- Love never fails, but where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9- For we know in part and prophesy in part, 10- but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11- When I was child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12- Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13- And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. God describes love as the most essential force ever created by Him. The kind of love He talks about in the Word is agape love. This love is higher than knowledge, and any gifts a person may have. If you do a good deed toward someone, it won't mean anything if you do it without love. In the end, God wants only your heart. That is where true love is. Without love you can possess many talents and skills, but be empty inside. Agape love is unconditional. It loves even when there is no love coming back. It loves without conditions and limits. Gods love surpasses all understanding. Why? In some of our minds, loving someone without condition is not rational. In the world we are taught to love people who love us. It is not normal in this world to love someone who shows none. To love God's way means freedom. You free yourself of anger, hatred, resentment, jealousy, and frustration. Letting love in means letting life in. That is love.
