What is Love? (Part VII)

Love is living our life for other people…
Love is living our life for other people. It's the sacrificial giving of all that is precious and dear to each of us, and placing it in someone else's hands. Love takes this risk as the means of showing the sincerity of our hearts
and the pleasure that we experience in the sharing.
For example, parents lovingly work hard throughout their lives, so that their children may have better opportunities to find and fulfill their dreams. They save their possessions and use their resources to give their children the best start for their education, careers, and marriages.
Friends also lovingly support their loved ones during
times of trouble and trial, distress and despair, without counting the cost or begrudging the sacrifice of time. They display their love with their presence, care, and sympathy, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on without complaint.
Dedicated partners live for their sweethearts, seeking to please them with gifts and goodness, laughter and love, fun and faith. The blessing of their love carries them through good and bad times. No matter what true loving partner’s experience, when all is said and done, their love never fails.
Love is shaping life into one cherished opportunity of sharing your best with those you love the most. It's the perfect realization that all of us need to be loved, and so we sincerely seek someone special, offering them our heart, our devotion and care. It's the moment when we recognize that we are incomplete without someone to love, and it gives us both meaning and purpose to our lives.
Love is venturing outside of ourselves and into the world to seek our heart's desire, to accomplish our personal goals, and to successfully use our talents to build up resources, esteem, and prosperity, so that we can lovingly share them with the person who has claimed our heart.
Love is embracing one another during moments of fear and anxiety, offering words of encouragement, endearing charm, and genuine concern. As the good book says, love never fails. It is our source of a remarkable strength that we use to overcome our problems.
